CENTRAL IOWA COMPOUNDING PHARMACY POLICY REGARDING MEDICATION PICKUP
Due to the severity of the circumstances unfolding with Coronavirus and cases reported in Iowa, Central Iowa Compounding Pharmacy is taking extra steps to prioritize our patient’s safety. We are especially concerned with minimizing exposure to our high-risk patients, such as elderly and immunocompromised patients, who have to this point been the most severely impacted by the effects of the virus.
We are opening our store back up to the public on Tuesday, May 26th. For the summer, our store hours will continue to be 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am-noon on Saturday. We would appreciate it if you are not feeling well or have a temperature to continue with mail-out or curbside service. We would also prefer you wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available and we will have a sneeze guard in place. We will still offer curbside service for people who are at high risk or do not wish to come in the pharmacy to pick up your order. If that is the case, please call us at 515-252-7688 and our staff will bring out your order to your car. We will still be asking for prepayment to minimize contact. Thank-you for your cooperation.
We also recommend patients fill a 60-90 day supply on medications and talk with us about synchronizing all medications to help reduce unnecessary trips to the pharmacy. If you need counseling on any medications or over-the-counter items our pharmacist will gladly help those in need over the phone.
